WHAT IS THE COMMISSION OF INQUIRY FOR CAMBODIA?
The Commission of Inquiry for Cambodia is an independent, citizen-based, fact-finding committee that brings together experts, decision-makers, the Khmer people and the international community. The main objective is to build a cohesive and coordinated effort to generate high-level international attention to enact systemic changes and bring Cambodia back into compliance with international human rights and democracy standards and the Rule of Law.
Conclusion of the United Nations Special Rapporteur Report:
The past year, the United Nations made clear in a series of unusually frank and hard-hitting reports and statements that the 2023 elections cannot be taken seriously or treated as legitimate, free and fair. In order for the results of the elections to be accepted and recognized as valid and legitimate by the international community, the United Nations’ “Action Plan Reform Measures” need to be implemented before the July vote.
These necessary reform measures included:
Eisenhower & Cambodia: Diplomacy, Covert Action, and the Origins of the Second Indochina War ( Studies in Conflict Diplomacy Peace)
Last Days of Heroes: How a CIA Agent and his Cambodian Allies Fought, Defied, and Resisted the Khmer Rouge
