Philip "Jack" Running, United States Army, 173rd Airborne, age 89 of Maplewood, passed away December 5, 2022. Preceded in death by beloved wife of 61 years, Mary Ann; and infant son, Philip. Survived by sons, Pat (Linda), Vince (Terry) and Bob (Pam); grandchildren, Patrick, Kayla (Jake), Brandon, Breanna (Andy) and Kelly (Dalton); great-grandchildren; Morgan, Jax, Charlotte, Rylee, Navy and Lyla; sisters, Phyllis (Ken) LaCroix, Patricia (Dave) Drew; and brother, Jerry (Rita). Jack was a Sergeant in the US Army as a member of the 11th Airborne. He was an avid youth coach for Rice St. VFW baseball and Kellogg Youth Hockey, as well as a member of Teamsters Local #120. Jack was and active member of The United States Army Special Forces Association Chapter 20 who often delivered the Invocation at meetings and events. He also lead the Chapters Color and Honor Gaurds. Jack was a enthusiastic supporter of the Forign National Allies of the Vietnam War which included the Hmong, Lao, Khmer, and Vietnamese veterans who supported and fought along side the US Military during the Communist War of Aggression in Southeast Asia.
